  1. There is no answer – even if you have a terminal illness or you’re planning on committing suicide, these merely increase the likelihood of your dying from that cause. You could get hit by a bus on the way to jumping in front of a train.

    We can’t see the future, and therefore can’t even suppose a deterministic relation between cause (X) and effect (death), assuming there is a cause where death certainly follows (possibly having your head chopped off?).

    Now, the “related question” of how will Lost end is similarly unanswerable. Even the writers don’t know.
